Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a dental specialty. In addition to a doctorate in dental surgery, our doctors take on an additional four to six years of education and training to become certified to practice oral and maxillofacial surgery. To become an oral surgeon, one must conduct residencies in hospital settings and provide acute care for patients suffering a variety of oral health ailments including facial trauma. Oral surgeons also receive training in administering anesthesia. All of our practice’s surgeons are Diplomates of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
With this training and education, our team can provide precise and thorough treatment that improves both oral function and one’s appearance. We often work together with referring orthodontists and general dentists so that patients receive comprehensive and effective care.
In addition to our surgeons’ expertise, our support personnel hold CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as well as anesthesia training. Our clinical staff members, like our doctors, are passionate about providing safe, effective, and life-changing treatment for our patients.
